SERVING THE YOUTH
The objective of the NoVAC Youth Programs is to enrich youth through educational, cultural, social, and developmental activities that will encourage personal growth and success for the youth of the Northern Virginia community.

NoVAC YOUTH PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED FOR YOUTH WHO:
​
o Are seeking guidance, support and skills to achieve success
o Have an interest and desire to develop leadership skills
o Have a desire to or are actively pursuing college and/or career options
o Are interested in meeting and collaborating with like-minded youth striving for success

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

As an organization of college-educated women, Delta Sigma Theta plays an active role in the educational movement, seeking to inspire, motivate, and support the aspirations and achievement of children and young people. For more than 55 years, the Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter has awarded scholarships to deserving students of color in their senior year of high school.

The NoVAC Youth Programs enrich youth through educational, cultural, social, and developmental activities, encouraging personal growth and success for the youth of the Northern Virginia community.

Delta Academy
introduces at-risk girls, ages 11-14, to programs in math, science, and technology.
Delta GEMS
develops strong, confident, and goal-oriented young women and prepares them to take an active role in their success and in society. (High School Age includes 14-18).
EMBODI
is designed to serve as a motivational and empowerment tool that targets young, African American males. (High School Age includes 14-18).
SOL
provides educational support for ages 8-14 and/or grades 3-8 with the goal of preparing students for the Virginia SOL standardized tests.
