NOTABLE PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

 Soror Tunsil, M.Ed, is an LPC Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Trauma Specialist. She has served as a panel expert for U.S. Congress’ Commission on Homeland Security and facilitated a critical incident stress debriefing for the Commonwealth of Virginia. For over 15 years, she has been a precinct elections chief for the Arlington County Board of Elections and received the Spirit of Excellence Award from the Community Services Board of Fairfax County. 

 

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

 Under Soror Tunsil’s leadership, NoVAC opened an online merchant account, allowing for both online and credit card payment options for the Chapter for various events and membership dues. She also established the NoVAC Trailblazer collection which, as a fundraising initiative to further promote the Annual Trailblazer Scholarship Awards, included custom-made goods for NoVAC Sorors. In 2015, Soror Tunsil also conducted a national webinar on the improved and enhanced electronic check-in process.

NEW PROGRAMS OR INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTED:

   The Tunsil Administration developed a media and public relations package and toolkit for the Chapter, enhanced the existing Facebook page and Twitter account, and launched NoVAC’s Instagram account.. The Domestic Violence Poetry Slam event was established, as was the Charitable Giving Taskforce which focused on implementing Grand Chapter guidelines in working with auxiliary foundations.
