Soror Spraggins is an accomplished educator who achieved her master’s degree and was a highly successful middle and high school principal. In 2001, she was selected as Principal of the Year for Arlington County.

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

Under Soror Spraggins’ leadership, NoVAC implemented the first edition of the Sorority’s Policies and Procedures Handbook, became very vocal at national conventions, networked with other chapters to move the organization forward, and made significant increases in its fundraising efforts.

NEW PROGRAMS OR INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTED:

During this administration, the following events were celebrated: the “Artists in Bloom” Arts and Letters program, “Champions of the Future,” as well as the celebration of NoVAC’s 35th anniversary.

PRESIDENTIAL NUGGET TO IMPART ON NOVAC:

"Consider standing for leadership positions in the Chapter. The experience does more for the individual than the organization.

Be attentive to collegiate sisters transitioning into alumnae chapters. It is a big leap.

Be familiar with the documents that govern the organization."
