 During this time period, NoVAC’s theme was the same as the Grand Chapter’s theme which was

Answering the Challenges of Sisterhood and Service.

NOTABLE PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

 Soror Nance is a retired professional high school counselor. 

 

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

   Under her administration, the first pictorial directory was published, chapter robes were purchased, and the 40th chapter anniversary was celebrated.

NEW PROGRAMS OR INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTED: 

Soror Nance’s administration brought the following initiatives to NoVAC—Stay at Home Tea, The Ariya Musicale, Hats Off to You (recognition awards), Fall Awareness forums, Let the Punishment Fit the Crime, and Economic Empowerment/It’s Your Life.  

 

PRESIDENTIAL NUGGET TO IMPART ON NOVAC:

  "Leadership is a team effort. As chapter president, you learn quickly that you cannot and should not do everything by yourself. You ask for help from others as you grow. It is important to take advice and shape those words of wisdom into winning strategies to promote sisterhood and service."
